Recovery by the Sea is an annual camp out/convention presented by the Coastal Bend Area of Narcotics Anonymous. It is held the last weekend of July on North Padre Island.

This is an on-the-beach event, so we suggest that you bring the following items:

  • camping gear
  • water & food
  • sunscreen & hat
  • baby powder
  • first aid kit
  • chairs
  • flashlight
  • light jacket
  • an attitude of fun
  • a spirit of recovery

Information

From IH 37 take 358 (Padre Island Drive) or from US 181 take 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to 358. Stay on 358 East to Park Road 22 (still called Padre Island Drive.) Take 22 to the Island (Padre Island that is) and continue south until you pass the Padre Island National Seashore welcome sign. The next beach access to the left will lead to the beach. Take a north (left) and drive about a mile and a half. You will see the tents raised and fellowship happening.

Note: If you make it to the entrance to the National Seashore, you have gone too far. Head back north to the above mentioned beach access road.
